We are happy to announce that Patrícia Pečnerová became the APECS Sweden’s Executive Secretary for 2016.
Patrícia is a PhD candidate in Systematics and Evolution at the Department of Zoology, Stockholm University. Patrícia’s research is focused on investigating genetic diversity of the last population of the woolly mammoth before its extinction. In 2015, Patrícia joined the Petermann 2015 expedition to Greenland and Ellesmere Island as a member of the Arctic Islands project, exploring the biodiversity of one of the harshest environments in the world.
